Family Creates New Education

EAU CLAIRE —
A new scholarship for education majors has been created at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire thanks to a $10,000 donation from UW-Eau Claire alumni Doris and Raymond White, Barron.
The White Family Scholarship will award one $500 scholarship a year to a student in the School of Education from Barron who has a solid grade point average and can demonstrate financial need. A recipient can receive the scholarship for up to three years.
The White's children, Gary White, Fond du Lac, and Dr. Sandra White, Alexandria, Va., also are graduates of UW-Eau Claire.
Doris White graduated from UW-Eau Claire in 1940, Raymond White in 1942, Gary White in 1973 and Sandra White in 1978.
All four studied education and have spent their careers in education.
