Places Third in Two Tournaments |

EAU CLAIRE
The University of WisconsinEau Claire forensics team attended its first tournaments of the season in Omaha, Neb.
The team competed at Creighton University Saturday, Oct. 2, and at Concordia University Sunday, Oct. 3. The team placed third in each of the two competitions.
Top finishers at Creighton University included the following: sophomore Arwen Williams, Eau Claire, fifth in informative speaking; freshman Ben Schneider, Greendale, second in dramatic interpretation and semifinalist in prose interpretation; sophomore Aaron Unseth, Plato, Minn., fourth in informative speaking, fourth in poetry interpretation and second in prose interpretation; junior Arwen Dale, Eau Claire, first in informative speaking and fourth in prose interpretation; junior Jodi Becker, Germantown, fifth in rhetorical criticism and semifinalist in prose interpretation; junior Reid Sollberger, Brooklyn Park, Minn., third in rhetorical criticism; and sophomore Barbara Ellevold, Pulaski, sixth in poetry interpretation.
Those who placed at Concordia College were as follows: Schneider, third in dramatic interpretation and semifinalist in prose interpretation; Williams, fifth in informative speaking; Unseth, second in informative speaking, fourth in poetry interpretation and fourth in prose interpretation; Becker, third in rhetorical criticism; junior Cate Dunham, Hartland, fifth in rhetorical criticism; sophomore Eric Rasmussen, Eau Claire, first in poetry interpretation; Sollberger, sixth in after-dinner speaking; the team of Rasmussen and Sollberger, fourth in duo interpretation; and Dale, sixth in informative speaking and semifinalist in prose interpretation.
Hastings College finished first and Kansas State University second in both tournaments. -30- HD/BW
