Wind Symphony and Symphony Band
Concert Slated for Oct. 10

EAU CLAIRE
In dedication to Dr. Donald S. George, professor emeritus and former director of the university bands, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Wind Symphony and Symphony Band will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
Under the direction of Rodney Hudson, Symphony Band will begin the program with John Philip Sousa's "New York Hippodrome March." Other selections will include "Rhosymedre" by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Gustav Holst's First Suite in E flat.
The Wind Symphony, conducted by Dr. Robert R. Bayless, will perform the second half of the program with Elgar Howarth's "Processional Fanfare," John Newton's "Amazing Grace" and Arthur Sullivan's "Pineapple Poll."
Tickets, available at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727, are $4.75 for adults, $3.75 for seniors, children 17 and under or faculty/staff with university ID, or $1.25 for students with university ID. -30- JV/BW
