Feminist Legal Theory To Be
Discussed at UW-Eau Claire |

EAU CLAIRE
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire College of Arts and Sciences Continuing Education/UW-Extension will sponsor a workshop titled "Feminist Legal Theory." The workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, in the Ojibwa Room of Davies Center on the UW-Eau Claire campus.
The program will focus on developing an understanding of the complex relations binding gender, race, and legal theory and practice in an effort to engage in questions regarding social change and justice. Dr. Carolyn "Kay" Picart, former assistant professor of philosophy at UW-Eau Claire, will present the workshop.
The workshop is available to the general public and costs $59. This fee includes instruction, materials, lunch and refreshments. Participants should pre-register by Friday, Oct. 1. After this date, call the Continuing Education office at (715) 836-2031 to determine program availability. Participants will receive 0.6 continuing education units for full participation in the workshop.
