EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, Oct. 4. All events are free and open to the public.

SUNDAY, OCT. 10:
  • Trio Toscano will perform at 2 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. The group consists of professors of music Paul Kosower on violoncello and Penelope Cecchini on piano, as well as assistant professor of music Nobuyoshi Yasuda on violin. In recognition of the 150th anniversary of the death of Frederic Chopin, Trio Toscano will open the concert with the rarely heard Chopin Trio for Violin, Cello and Piano in G minor. Also on the program are Ernest Bloch's Three Nocturnes for Piano Trio and Schubert's Trio for Violin, Cello and Piano in B flat major.
