Beginning Language Courses
To Be Offered at UW-Eau Claire |

EAU CLAIRE
Beginning language courses will be offered by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire College of Arts and Sciences Continuing Education/UW Extension office. The "Languages for Work and Travel" classes in French, German and Spanish are designed to familiarize participants with the language, customs and culture of the countries in which the languages are spoken.
The French class taught by Dr. Gale Crouse, professor of foreign languages will be offered from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays, Sept. 20-Nov. 11. Debora Raatz, a 1982 UW-Eau Claire graduate who recently studied in Germany as a Fulbright Scholar, will teach German from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 21-Oct. 28. Spanish classes will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays, Sept. 20-Oct. 27 and will be taught by Dr. Josette Migawa and Dale Omtvedt Gable, lecturers in the department of foreign languages.
The fee for each class is $295, which includes instruction and materials. Pre-registration is required.
Participants in the classes can receive 2.4 continuing education units per class.
