UW-Eau Claire to Host
State Advising Conference |

EAU CLAIRE
Academic advisers from colleges and universities throughout the state will meet at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Sept. 16 and 17 for the annual conference of the Wisconsin Academic Advising Association.
Chancellor Donald Mash and alumnus Kevin Gatzlaff will open Friday's conference with keynote addresses that speak to the conference theme of "Advising: Shaping the Future." Attendees will choose from 15 sessions with topics that range from career counseling and advising distance learners to using ACT profiles and promoting diversity.
For the first time, the Friday conference will be preceded by Thursday afternoon meetings organized by institutional type. UW System's program will focus on transfer issues.
Thursday meetings are open to everyone without charge, but pre-registration is necessary. Friday's conference requires pre-registration and a $35 fee.
