EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin—Eau Claire's Counseling Services was re-accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services Inc., an Alexandria, Va., based organization of United States, Canadian and Australian counseling agencies.
Counseling Services was found by IACS to offer competent and reliable professional services to its clientele. Approval by IACS also depends on evidence of continuing professional development, as well as a demonstration of excellence of counseling performance.
UW-Eau Claire's Counseling Services, directed by Dr. P.J. Kennedy, offers individual, small group and couples counseling. The university counseling center serves students, faculty and staff.
IACS was found in 1972 to encourage and aid counseling agencies to meet high professional standards through peer evaluation and to inform the public about counseling services that are competent and reliable.
