Brady Foust Receives|
MAILED: May 12, 1999|
Brady Foust, chair of the geography department at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, was the 1998-99 recipient of the Technology Award, given each year to a faculty member who has excelled in integrating technology into their curriculum.
The Student Senate Information Technology Commission selected Foust earlier this month. Eleven faculty members had been nominated for the award by the UW-Eau Claire student body, said Josh Ottow, Student Senate director of Information Technology. The Student Senate uses this award to show that students appreciate the attempts to advance technology awareness at UW-Eau Claire.
Foust joined UW-Eau Claire's faculty in 1971. He holds masters and doctoral degrees from the University of Tennessee and a bachelor's from Stetson University.
The student who nominated Foust for the award said he was worthy because of his work with the student global server.
