Summer Institute Set for June

EAU CLAIRE
The Wisconsin Geographic Alliance '99 Summer Geography Institute will run from June 13-25 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
The institute is designed to help kindergarten through 12th-grade teachers develop their geography content and teaching skills. Participants will learn geography based on the theme "Earth Our Home."
Teachers will earn three graduate credits from UW-Eau Claire and will receive free room and board, free teaching materials and a field trip, and will be a teacher consultant for the Wisconsin Geographic Alliance.
Institute directors include: professor Richard Palm, coordinator of the Wisconsin Geographic Alliance, and a geographer at UW-Eau Claire; professor Mark Bockenhauer, co-coordinator and a geographer at St. Norbert's College; and five teaching consultants who are kindergarten through 12th-grade teachers with prior Institute experience.
