Honor Outstanding Students

Several University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students will be honored during the Alumni Association's 1999 Outstanding Student and Scholarship Award Luncheon May 12.
The luncheon will begin at noon in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center. The luncheon cost is $9.
The College of Arts and Sciences Outstanding Student Award will go to Paul Pelzl, a senior physics and mathematics major from Eau Claire.
The College of Business Outstanding Student Award will be given to Linda Mathison, a senior accounting major from Stillwater, Minn..
Kristi Vos, a history graduate student from Waite Park, Minn., will receive the Graduate Studies Outstanding Student Award.
Yoshie Matsubara, a senior journalism student from Japan, will receive the International Education Outstanding Student Award.
The American Ethnic/Special Programs Outstanding Student Award will go to David Quiles, a senior biochemistry/molecular biology major from Greenfield.
The Adult Opportunities Outstanding Student Award will go to two students: Michelle Young, a senior history and American Indian Studies major from Lac du Flambeau; and John Young, a senior criminal justice and political science major from Springfield, Ohio.
The Professional Studies Outstanding Student Award for Education will be awarded to Brad Martin, a senior special education major from Blair.
The Professional Studies Outstanding Student Award for Human Sciences and Services will go to Bruce Neumann, a senior environmental and public health major from Medford.
The Professional Studies Outstanding Student Award for Nursing will go to Meggin Schaus, a senior chemistry major from Oconomowoc.
Two scholarship recipients also will be recognized during the luncheon. Jacob Gapko, a junior physics major from Eau Claire, will receive the $500 Hibbard Scholarship. Kimberly Arndt, a senior biology major from Kennan, will receive the $500 Haas Scholarship.
