The recent appointment of Dr. Ronald Satz as provost and vice chancellor of academic affairs at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire has resulted in several interim administrative appointments in the College of Professional Studies, where Satz has been dean since 1995.
Chancellor Donald Mash has appointed Dr. Carol Klun as acting dean of Professional Studies, effective May 1. Klun has served as associate dean of the School of Human Sciences and Services since 1994. Mash also appointed Patricia Christopherson, professor of social work, as the acting associate dean of the School of Human Sciences and Services. She joined the faculty in 1977 and served as internship director for the social work department from 1990-94. She was department chair from 1993-96 and has been active in service to both the university and the community. She completed graduate degrees in sociology and social work at UW-Madison in 1971 and 1975.
Satz's appointment as provost will begin May 1. A national search for a permanent dean of Professional Studies will be launched in the fall.
