Wind Symphony To Perform
May 2 at UW-Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Wind Symphony will present its final concert of the academic year at 4 p.m. May 2 in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
Under the direction of Todd Fiegel, the Wind Symphony will present a concert titled "Old and New Classics for Wind Band." The concert will include three new works by Frank Ticheli, "Pacific Fanfare," "Shenandoah" and "Blue Shades."
The featured artist on the concert will be tuba soloist and professor of music Jerry Young, who will perform Concert for Tuba and Wind Ensemble, by Bruce Broughton.
Other pieces will include "... and the mountains rising nowhere" by Pulitzer-Prize-winning composer Joseph Schwantner and "Lincolnshire Posy" by Percy Grainger.
Tickets, available at the University Service Center (715) 836-3727, are $4.75 for the public, $3.75 for seniors and children under 18, or faculty/staff with university ID, or $1.25 for students with university ID.
