Chippewa Valley To Host Speaker

The Women for Philanthropy in the Chippewa Valley organization will host a hors d'oeuvre dinner and a speaker April 26 in Eau Claire.
The event is slated for 4:30-6 p.m. April 26 at Mona Lisa's Restaurant in Eau Claire.
The keynote speaker will be Jennifer Norris Peterson, a member of the National Speakers Bureau of Women's Philanthropy Institute. Peterson, a major gifts officer for Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota, is helping launch a statewide initiative in Minnesota to educate women about money and philanthropy. The initiative, sponsored by LSS and Aid Associate for Lutherans, combines focus group research with educational seminars for women.
Women for Philanthropy in the Chippewa Valley is devoted to charity and altruism through education about philanthropic choices for women. The steering committee, with support from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Foundation Inc., is committed to helping women acquire the ability to make individual and collective choices about giving. Participants share a commitment to raise the standard of living and opportunity for all women in the Chippewa Valley.
The cost of attending the April 26 event is $10.
