Five University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire fine arts degree graduation candidates will exhibit their works in a show titled "Marked." This exhibit will showcase the works of graduating seniors.
A reception for the exhibit will be from 6-8 p.m. April 17 in the Foster Gallery of the Haas Fine Arts Center. The exhibit runs from April 13-18.
This show is the combined effort of Trent Glienke, Faribault, Minn., Stacey Isbell, Onalaska, Saralyn Vergenz, Rosemount, Minn., Jimmy Hazelton, Eau Claire, and Catherine Hecky, Fond du Lac.
Works exhibited include a variety of mediums, sculpture, drawing, ceramics, printmaking and mosaic.
"I strive to create forms that have clean, organic lines and are light in weight; resulting in pieces that are not only visually pleasing but also comfortable to live with," Vergenz said.
"People and the animals we chase are the most appropriate images for our art, and have been since the beginning of time," Hazelton said.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays and 1-4:30 p.m. weekends. For more information, call Tom Wagener, (715) 836-2328. -30- JV/JB
