EAU CLAIRE — A senior political science major from McFarland will receive the Karl Andresen Scholarship for the 1998-99 academic year from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Rachael Brost will receive the $2,000 award from the UW-Eau Claire Foundation during an Honors Week reception April 20 at UW-Eau Claire.
Andresen's former students established the scholarship to recognize a graduating UW-Eau Claire senior who has demonstrated academic excellence and the promise of future academic achievements. Dr. Karl Andresen is professor emeritus of political science.
Faculty determined that Brost has exhibited with distinction the qualities that the scholarship was designed to honor, said Dr. Leonard Gambrell, chair of the department of political science.
