Students to Perform in
'Anne of Green Gables'

EAU CLAIRE
R.N. Sandberg's theatrical adaptation of L.M. Montgomery's novel, "Anne of Green Gables," will tell the tale of orphan red-head Anne through the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Theatre for Young Audiences.
"Anne of Green Gables" will open at 10 a.m. March 30 in Kjer Theatre. Performances also are slated for 10 a.m. April 1, 6 and 8; 7:30 p.m. April 8-10; and 1:30 p.m. April 10-11.
Junior Nancy Fortney, Lake Geneva, will play the role of Anne.
Other cast members include juniors Sarah Glader, Fridley, Minn., Lynsey Ray, Superior, and Heather Leanna, Denmark. Also performing will be sophomores Jordan Keller, Wisconsin Dells, Jessi Else, Rochester, Minn., and Anne Fowler, St. Croix Falls.
Freshman cast members include Jason Stoll, Menasha, Kelly Jo Grove, Northfield, Minn., and Jonathan Stone, Golden Valley, Minn. Peter Hagen, Eau Claire, joins assistant director, Joseph Nicikowski, Racine, as the seniors in the cast.
Cheryl Starr, associate professor of theatre arts, will direct "Anne of Green Gables."
Tickets, available at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727, are $4 for the general public or $3 for UW-Eau Claire students, faculty and staff, children under 18 and senior citizens.
