EAU CLAIRE — Anne Shirley's arrival at the Cuthbert farm around the turn of the century was a mistake. As siblings Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert discover — a pleasant mistake at least.
R.N. Sandberg's theatrical adaptation of L.M. Montgomery's novel, "Anne of Green Gables," will tell the tale of orphan red-head Anne through the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Theatre for Young Audiences.
"Anne of Green Gables" will open at 10 a.m. March 30 in Kjer Theatre. Performances also are slated for 10 a.m. April 1, 6 and 8; 7:30 p.m. April 8-10; and 1:30 p.m. April 10-11.
Cheryl Starr will direct the production.
Tickets, available at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727, are $4 for the general public or $3 for UW-Eau Claire students, faculty and staff, children under 18 and senior citizens.
For more information, call Starr at (715) 836-5614.
