EAU CLAIRE
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, March 29. All events are free and open to the public.
- MONDAY, MARCH 29:
- A student flute studio recital is scheduled for 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. The performance will include selected works from Bizet, Telemann, Bach and Schubert.
- TUESDAY, MARCH 30:
- Senior Sarah Eberth, Wyoming, Minn., will perform a joint student recital with senior Monica Schley, Forest Junction, at 5 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Eberth, on flute, and Schley, on harp, will perform works from Bizet, Bach, Debussy and Francis Poulenc. Guest musician Paula Smith will assist on harp.
- WEDNESDAY, MARCH 31:
- Junior Lona Wallace, Richland Center, will perform a student recital on clarinet at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Wallace will perform works from Leonard Bernstein, Franz Donzi, Jacques Ibert and Luigi Bassi. Junior Jill Grehn, Ashland, will assist her on piano.
- Edward Jacobs, Stillwater, Minn., will present a senior recital on euphonium at 7:30 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Jacobs will perform works by Giacomo Puccini and George Frederic Handel.
