Candidate For Provost Position
To Visit Campus For Interview

EAU CLAIRE
Dr. James M. Gentile will visit the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire March 25-26 to interview for the position of Provost and Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs.
The Eau Claire and university communities will have opportunities to meet the candidate for UW-Eau Claire's No. 2 position.
UW-Eau Claire students interested in meeting with Gentile are invited to a session from 9-10 a.m. Thursday in Schofield Auditorium.
Faculty, staff and community members are invited to an open presentation from 2-3:15 p.m. Thursday in Schofield Auditorium. Gentile will speak for 15 minutes about the topic "Higher Education: The Next Ten Years." He will then answer questions from those attending the session.
The candidate will spend the remainder of Thursday and Friday meeting with various members of the university, including faculty and staff.
Gentile is dean for the Natural Sciences and is the Kenneth G. Herrick Professor of Biology at Hope College in Holland, Mich.
Gentile earned a doctorate in genetics from Illinois State University in 1974 and did his postdoctoral work at Yale University School of Medicine. He joined the biology faculty of Hope College in 1976 and later served as department chair. He moved to his current position in 1988.
