EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Arts and Sciences Continuing Education will offer a Flight Training Ground School this spring.
The course will introduce participants to the fundamentals of flight, aircraft systems, weather, basic aerodynamics, navigation and aircraft performance. Those completing the school should have the knowledge needed to pass the written Flight Aviation Administration examination for private pilots and the background needed to succeed in private pilot training. Chris Stoffel, a FAA certified instructor, will teach the course.
The eight-week course will run from 6-8 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays April 12 through June 10.
The course fee is $195, which includes instruction and some books. The registration deadline is April 5.
