German Month Activities

EAU CLAIRE
Several events are planned in March at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in honor of German Month.
Visiting Minority Scholar Raymond Fleming will talk about his experiences as an African American in Berlin, Germany. His presentation will begin at 7 p.m. March 8 in the Hibbard Hall Penthouse. Refreshments will be served.
The 1996 German film "Jenseits der Stille" ("Beyond Silence") will screen at 7:30 p.m. March 24 in room 309C of Hibbard Hall. The drama tells the story of a daughter of deaf parents who reconciles her musical talents with the silent world in which she grew up. Caroline Link is the director. Refreshments will be served.
Kabarett Abend will feature humorous skits, poems, music and a live band at 7:30 p.m. March 29 in The Cabin of Davies Center. The program will be done in German. Program notes and talent will help make it an enjoyable event for those with limited German language skills. Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.
