Hebbring Named American Indian
Coordinator at UW-Eau Claire

EAU CLAIRE
Marge Hebbring has been named the American Indian student services coordinator in the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's American Ethnic Coordinating Office.
Hebbring, Title IX coordinator for Eau Claire Public Schools since January 1995, began her half-time position at UW-Eau Claire Jan. 11. She continues to hold a half-time position with the Eau Claire school district.
As American Indian coordinator, Hebbring is responsible for the recruitment and retention of American Indian students, advising the American Indian Student Association and acting as a liaison to the American Indian studies program.
A member of the Lac Courtes Oreilles Ojibwa band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians, Hebbring received a bachelor's degree in art education from UW-Eau Claire in 1994. She currently is working on a master's degree at UW-Eau Claire.
Hebbring will hold her position in the American Ethnic office through June 30. A search will be conducted to fill the job permanently. -30- AH/JB
