EAU CLAIRE — Chancellor Donald Mash announced yesterday (Jan. 19) several changes related to information and technology management at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. The Office of Information and Technology Management, which consists of the Center for Instructional Technology and Innovation, Computing and Networking Services, Libraries, Media Development Center and Voice Communications/Loss Prevention & Safety, will report to the Office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor rather than to the Chancellor. This change in reporting line is effective immediately.
The ITM units will report directly to Dr. William Smethells, interim special assistant. David Hart, who has been assistant chancellor for information and technology management since October 1996, will serve as special assistant to the chancellor where he will be involved in technology-related projects and strategic planning.
