MAILED: Dec. 18, 1998
EAU CLAIRE
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Parking and Transportation Services Office has announced its parking policies for the period of winter break.
Motorists will not be required to have parking permits to park in UW-Eau Claire lots from Dec. 23-Jan. 22 except for in guaranteed faculty parking rows which require GF permits. The guaranteed faculty parking rows are marked with GF signs.
Beginning Jan. 18, motorists must have faculty parking permits to park in the Murray lot from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.
All other regular parking regulations such as 15-minute zones and handicap areas will be enforced during the winter break.
The Visitor Center lot will be closed during winter break but will be open Jan. 21 and 22. Normal operating hours will resume in that lot Jan. 25.
If a vehicle stalls or does not start in a university lot, the motorist must contact UW-Eau Claire's Public Safety Office so an officer can place a disabled vehicle tag on the vehicle. If a vehicle does not have such a tag issued by Public Safety, it will be ticketed.
The city's bus service to UW-Eau Claire will end Dec. 22. Service will resume Jan. 22.
The Parking and Transportation Services Office will be closed Dec. 24-25 and Dec. 31-Jan. 1.
