'All You Can See Art Buffet'|
MAILED: Dec. 2, 1998|
Four University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire fine arts degree graduation candidates will exhibit their works in a show titled "All You Can See Art Buffet." This is the last of four BFA exhibits, which showcase the works of graduating seniors.
"All You Can See Art Buffet," an exhibit consisting of photographs, paintings, sculpture and drawings, will be featured Dec. 17-21 in the Foster Gallery of the Haas Fine Arts Center. It is the combined effort of Nathaniel Clark, Eau Claire; Kevin Kiley, Stoughton; Craig Olson, Superior; and Scott Stulen, Spicer, Minn.
"The purpose of my art is to illustrate with visual excitement, to capture the viewer's attention," Kiley said. "All the work attempts to communicate the benefits of observation and imagination."
"Baseball creates a universal language in which total strangers can find a common bond," Stulen said. "My work, through creating an image and environment, helps to stimulate this discussion."
An opening reception for the exhibit will run from 7:30-9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, in the gallery.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and 1 to 4:30 p.m. weekends. For more information, call Tom Wagener, (715) 836-2328.
