Symphony Band To Perform|

The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Symphony Band will perform its first concert of the academic year at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 4 in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
Under the direction of Rodney Hudson, associate professor of music, the Symphony Band will open the concert with "Overture for Band" by John Heins. Also in the first half of the program will be "Three London Minatures" by Mark Camphouse, Jan Van der Roost's "Homage" and John Philip Sousa's "Gallant Seventh."
After a brief intermission, the Symphony Band will return to perform "Four Scottish Dances" by Malcolm Arnold, instrumental and vocal versions of Pavel Tschesnokoff's "Salvation is Created," George Gershwin's "Porgy and Bess Medley," and "Dance of the Jesters" by Piotor I. Tchaikovsky.
Tickets, available at the University Service Center of Davies Center (715) 836-3727, are $4.75 for adults, $3.75 for seniors, children under 18 or faculty/staff with a university ID, or $1.25 for students with a university ID.
