Sea creatures aren't normally awarded with a Pulitzer Prize. However, American playwright Edward Albee somehow managed to make the unlikely combination a reality in his play, "Seascape," which tells the story of a middle-aged couple at the seashore and their encounters with sea creatures.
University of Wisconsin Eau Claire Theatre will present Albee's "Seascape." Performances are slated for 7:30 p.m. Dec. 3-5 and 8-12. A matinee will be performed at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 6. All performances are in Riverside Theatre of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
Cast members include junior Tom Gross of Oconomowoc, senior Tracy Marie Phelps of Anoka, Minn., senior Peter McCain of Oshkosh, and sophomore Molly Berg of Coon Rapids, Minn.
"Seascape" is directed by theatre arts professor Wil Denson, and junior Joseph Nicikowski of Racine is the assistant director.
Tickets, available at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727, are $7 for adults, $5 for seniors or children under 18, or $4 for students, faculty or staff with a university ID.
