EAU CLAIRE
Each semester, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire art department showcases the works of senior bachelor of fine arts degree graduation candidates. This semester, the works of 16 candidates for graduation will be featured.
An exhibit titled "4 Closure," primarily a graphic design show, is the first of four BFA degree candidate senior shows slated for December.
The exhibit "4 Closure" will be open Dec. 3-7 in the Foster gallery of the Haas Fine Arts Center. It is the combined effort of Sarah Kuske, Cedarburg; Emily Hanson, Rockford, Minn.; Chris Atterberry, Bloomington, Minn.; and Jason Landis, Eagan, Minn.
"When creating fine art I can let myself go; close my eyes and let my imagination guide me," Kuske said.
Hanson said the most challenging aspects of graphic design are web design and animation.
"The influences and styles used in my work are a collaboration of all that I know and see around me," Landis said.
An opening reception for the exhibit will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Dec. 6 in the Foster Gallery of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. weekends. For more information, call Tom Wagener at (715) 836-2328. -30- JV/JB
