EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, Nov. 16. All events are free and open to the public.
    MONDAY, NOV. 16:
  • Justus Smith, Racine, will perform his junior bass-baritone recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
  • Basically Brass, a tuba ensemble, will perform at 7:30 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.


    • TUESDAY, NOV. 17:
  • Julie Olson, Eau Claire, will perform a senior recital in composition at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Her recital will include "Trio No. 1" for soprano saxophone, clarinet and bassoon; "4 Trumpet Duets," "Transformations," and "Crossing the Bar" for baritone and piano; and "Denique Finis," a saxophone quartet.


    • SUNDAY, NOV. 22:
  • Michael Cunningham, professor of music, will perform a faculty recital in composition titled "Friendly Music." The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
