EAU CLAIRE
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Housing and Residence Life's diversity task force will present the Tunnel of Oppression program Nov. 2 and 3.
The nationally recognized program will offer tours from 5 to 10 p.m. in the Towers Hall Social Room in the basement of Towers Hall.
Students and faculty are invited to attend the free event, where they will practice walking in someone else's shoes. Tours last about 30 minutes. Audio sources, video sources and theatrical role-playing are geared toward helping participants learn about oppression.
Areas such as racism, sexism, body images, homelessness and homophobia will be covered in this experience.
The Tunnel of Oppression program is sponsored by MOSAIC, Making Our School An Intercultural Community.
