The State-Wide Juried Student Graphic Design Exhibition has been traveling since February to UW System schools.
The collection of student works in graphic design will arrive in the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Foster Gallery Nov. 5. The exhibit will continue through Nov. 24.
There will be an opening reception from 7:30-9 p.m. Nov. 5 in the Foster Gallery of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
Six UW-Eau Claire students display work in the exhibit, which previously had been displayed at UW-Stevens Point and UW-Parkside. After UW-Eau Claire, the show will move to UW-Whitewater.
Senior Chris Atterberry, Bloomington, Minn., and senior Kara Lichtenberg, Appleton, display works in the letterhead/logo category. Represented in the posters category are spring 1998 UW-Eau Claire graduates Beryl W.V. Ouimette, Rob Bauer, Heather Jung and Scott Waldal. "This is the first of what I hope will be a biennial effort to seek out the best student graphic design in Wisconsin," said exhibit curator Suzanne Woods, UW-Stevens Point.
Stan Reed, of Reed Sendecke Inc., Madison, judged all 130 entries to the exhibition.
Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. weekends. For more information, call Tom Wagener at (715) 836-2328. -30- JV/JB
