EAU CLAIRE
Ten students from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire received Academic and Career Services Diversity Scholars Awards totaling $5,000 during the annual American Ethnic Coordinating Office Student Recognition Potluck in September.
The Jim Vance Diversity Scholarship was created in 1995 by Jim Vance, director of the American Ethnic Coordinating Office, to recognize multicultural students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and involvement in extracurricular and community activities.
Receiving the $500 scholarships were Jessica Chavez, a freshman nursing major from St. Cloud, Minn.; Terrance Graham, a sophomore psychology major from Milwaukee; Julie Madsen, a senior criminal justice major from Mayville; Adrian Wilson, a sophomore management major from Milwaukee; Michelle Young; a senior history major from Eau Claire; Michelle Bellinger, a freshman psychology major from Milwaukee; Angel Brown, a freshman psychology major from Milwaukee; Paula Josephs, an undeclared freshman from Milwaukee; Juan Wilson, a freshman computer science major from Milwaukee; and Shawn Wilson, a freshman computer science major from Milwaukee.
