Performers To Be In Play|
'Scenes from an Execution'

A cast of 14 University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students will perform in "Scenes from an Execution," by Howard Barker.
The play opens with the first of nine performances at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15 in Kjer Theatre. Additional performances are slated for 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16, 17 and 20-24 in Kjer Theatre. A matinee performance will be at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 18 in Kjer Theatre.
Senior Rebecca Ann Multz of Anoka, Minn. has the role of Galactia. Fellow senior, Matthew Stuhl of River Falls will play Carpeta.
Junior cast members include Jenny Nie of De Forest, Ingrid Nordstrom of Wyoming, Minn., Tom Gross of Oconomowoc, Shawn Stelton of St. Croix Falls, Ben Richgruber of Sparta and Sara Adams of Trempealeau.
Mauricio Alessandro of North Prairie, Molly Berg of Coon Rapids, Minn., David Harks of Plymouth, Jody Gross of Gleason and Timothy Hartzel of Beloit make up the sophomore acting team.
Aaron Zook of Fall Creek rounds out the bill as the lone freshman performer.
"Scenes from an Execution" is under the direction of Dr. Terry Allen, professor of theatre arts. Allen also will be designing sound for the show.
The production crew includes Shaun Mader, a junior from Cedarburg, as the assistant director and stage manager. Professor William F. Mellien is in charge of the set and lighting designs. Eau Claire community member Ann Behrens is heading up costume design.
Tickets are $7.for the general public, $5 for senior citizens and youths, or $4 for students, faculty and staff with a university ID. Tickets are available at the Service Center, (715) 836-3727.
