OcTUBAfest is back for its three-day annual visit. The first concert is slated for 7:30 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. This will mark the 15th year that OcTUBAfest has been in Eau Claire and "brought the tuba in front of the public in a positive light," Jerry Young, professor of music said. This first performance of the event that originated in Bloomington, Ind., consists of student solo and ensemble performances. "Our musical potential is the same as any other musician. It's only a different medium to express musical thought," Young said.
