Creative Dating a fast-paced interactive workshop on dating and relationships will be presented Thursday, Sept. 17, at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Two-time winner of the National Association for Campus Activities Lecture of the Year award, the 90-minute multimedia presentation will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Tamarack Room, Davies Center. Admission is free.
Audience members discover new and effective ways to meet others, learn creative dating ideas, improve communication skills, and open their eyes to relationship tendencies.
The wide range of topics covered includes making a good impression; interpersonal dating communication; why people repeatedly make poor relationship choices; the impact of alcohol on relationships; dating creatively on a limited budget; what impresses men and women; breaking up; making the best of a bad date; and "the showdown" (the last five minutes of a date). The workshop promotes spontaneous interaction between audience members, and builds confidence as it provides options and solutions for the audience to incorporate into their lives.
David Coleman known nationwide as "The Dating Doctor" will lead the workshop. Author of a weekly syndicated newspaper column and the top-selling book "101 Great Dates," Coleman has been featured in Glamour, Mademoiselle, USA Today, The New York Times and The Washington Post.
