EAU CLAIRE — The Educational Opportunity Center, housed at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, will offer a free program titled "Career Change Choices and Trends."
The purpose of the program is to look at the labor market and job satisfaction, especially for those people who might be considering a career change but aren't sure in which direction they want to go.
The program will be held from 7-9 p.m., Monday, Aug. 17, at the Menomonie Public Library in Menomonie. Career counselor Mike Erpenbach will lead the program.
The first segment of the two-hour program, titled "Labor Market Trends," studies the trends that shape local communities' labor markets and where to look for tomorrow's jobs.
Segment two, "Self Directed Search," focuses more on the individual by having each participant determine what employment characteristics are necessary for personal job satisfaction.
"Educational Programs," the final segment, offers an overview of educational programs available to community adults.
Anyone interested in participating is welcome to reserve a space by calling the EOC at (715) 836-2024. Make reservations before Aug. 14.
