EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Special Events Coordinator Ada Bors received the "Excellence in Service to the Arts by an Individual" Tributary Arts Award June 2.
Given by the Eau Claire Regional Arts Council, the Tributary Arts Awards recognize individuals, groups, businesses and organizations that have made or given significant contributions, support or achievement to the arts in the Eau Claire region.
Bors' contributions to the arts include her efforts in the creation of the annual Viennese Ball, begun in 1973.
Of the award Bors said, "Receiving this award marks a lovely beginning — to a concluding chapter — in my work at the university."
