EAU CLAIRE -- The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Summer Theatre program has changed its schedule."Later Life," a drama/comedy by A. R. Gurney, will be presented in June. Performances are slated for 7:30 p.m. June 12, 13 and 17-20, and 1:30 p.m. June 14, 18, 20 and 21. All performances will be in Kjer Theatre. "Later Life" will be presented instead of the previously published "Cole."
The show's director is Merlaine Angwall, a 1981 gradate of UW-Eau Claire. Other UW-Eau Claire alumni will star in the production.
The second production will be "Ramona Quimby," directed by Cheryl Starr. The production is an adaptation of the popular children's book written by Beverly Cleary which chronicles the ups and downs of everyday life in the Quimby family. "Ramona Quimby" performances are slated for 7:30 p.m. June 26, 27, 30 and July 1, 2 and 3. Performances at 1:30 p.m. are slated for June 27 and 28 and July 2 and 5. All performances will be in Kjer Theatre.
Summer Theatre's third production will be "Only an Orphan Girl," directed by Keith Lorasch. "Only an Orphan Girl" is an old-fashioned melodrama complete with musical interludes and audience participation. It will be performed at 7:30 p.m. July 10, 11, 14-18, and at 1:30 p.m. July 11, 12 and 19. All performances will be in Kjer Theatre.
