EAU CLAIRE -- Eighteen students from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire have been awarded grants for study abroad from the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Study Abroad Grant Committee ranging from $175-$500.
The following grant winners will study abroad for the 1998-99 academic year: Christine Asuquo, Stevens Point, Oviedo; Spain; Kris Risic, Platteville, Cuernavaca, Mexico; Michael Miller, Burnsville, Minn., Monterrey, Mexico; and Nicole Vierck, Beaver Dam, Kiel, Germany.
Receiving grants for the fall 1998 semester are Monica Dell'Armi, Spooner, Costa Rica; Rachel Greenwald, Hayward, Edinburgh, Scotland; James Weiler, Athens, Edinburgh, Scotland; and Melissa Zenner, Cadott, Edinburgh, Scotland; Rena Balsis, Kennan, Winchester, England; Carrie Brandt, Stevens Point, Winchester, England; Melissa Crevier, Merrill, Winchester, England; April Henn, Shawano, Winchester, England; Lindsey Lohaus, Cottage Grove; Sydney, Australia; Angela Scott, Dodgeville; Sydney, Australia; David Crave, Withee, Latvia.
Receiving grants to study during the summer at Cuernavaca, Mexico, are Lana Madden, Eau Claire, Jessica Schwingel, Madison, and Meghan Sheridan, Merrill.
The UW-Eau Claire Foundation provides study abroad scholarship funds.
