EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, April 20. All events are free and open to the public.
MONDAY, APRIL 20:
- The University Brass Choir, conducted by Rodney Hudson, will present a concert at 7:30 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Fine Arts Center. The choir will present pieces such as "Fanfare for the Lord Mayor of London," "Procession of the Nobles," "Echo Song," "Canzon a 12," "Hailstorm" and "Symphony for Brass and Percussion."
TUESDAY, APRIL 21:
- Heidi Borgwardt, a junior from Fountain City, will present a bassoon student recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Fine Arts Center. Borgwardt will present pieces by Bourdeau, Joubert, Vivaldi, Jacob and Hartley. She will be assisted by Annemarie Travia and Amy Fiumefreddo on bassoon.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22:
- The tuba ensemble will present a BASSically BRASS Concert at 7:30 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Fine Arts Center. It will present "Fanfare," "Down by the Sally Garden," "Dark Forest," "The Strenuous Life," "Consortium," "Canzone XXX" and Kentucky Sunrise." The ensemble will be conducted by Steve Catron and student conducted by Edward Jacobs.
