Singing Statesmen Celebrate
30th Anniversary |

EAU CLAIRE -- The Singing Statesmen will celebrate its 30th anniversary in May with concerts, a golf outing and a luncheon.
The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will welcome back many of the male choral ensemble's alumni May 8 and 9.
The Singing Statesmen Spring Concert, conducted by Gary Schwartzhoff, will start the weekend's activities. The show -- which will feature The Singing Statesmen and The Innocent Men -- will start at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Gantner Concert Hall of the Fine Arts Center. The cost is $5. Tickets are available beginning April 24 at the University Service Center, (715) 836-3727.
On Saturday, the Nine Hole Statesmen Golf Tournament will get under way at 7:30 a.m. at the Mill Run Golf Course in Eau Claire. Cost is $14 per person and $6 per optional golf cart.
From noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, there will be an Anniversary Luncheon in the Tamarack Room of Davies Center. Cost is $10.50. For tickets, call the Alumni Association at (715) 836-3266.
The Singing Statesmen with the Alumni Choir Concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Gantner Concert Hall of the Fine Arts Center. The show will feature The Singing Statesmen, The Innocent Men and The Singing Statesmen Alumni Chorus. Tickets are $5. Tickets will be available starting April 24 at the Service Center, (715) 836-3727.
At 10:30 p.m., there will be a Concert Afterglow for alumni at the Ramada Inn and Conference Center in Eau Claire.
The UW-Eau Claire Alumni Association will sponsor the events.
