Canoe Race May 2

EAU CLAIRE -- The South Bound 6 Canoe Race will be held May 2 as part of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's third annual Spring Rec Fest.
The race route consists of a six-mile stretch on the Chippewa River. It will begin at Owen Park and finish at the Highway 85 wayside.
The first heat will begin at 9 a.m. and the last heat will begin at 3 p.m. Participants with the best time in each division will be awarded gift certificates from Scheels All Sports.
All equipment will be provided; no personal gear is allowed. The divisions offered are men, women or co-rec.
Participation is limited to the first 50 teams.
Registration cost is $12 per team. The registration fee covers gear and a Rec Fest T-shirt. Registration closes at 3 p.m. April 30.
