EAU CLAIRE -- Effectively dealing with grief is the focus of a workshop to be held Wednesday, April 22, at the Eau Claire County UW-Extension office in Altoona.
The teleconference program, "Living With Grief: Who We Are, How We Grieve," which will run from noon to 3 p.m., will give participants a chance to define and explore the complications of the grieving process, describe how losses affect different people and discover ways of coping with grief.
To be run in conjunction with the Fifth Annual Hospice Foundation of America live teleconference, the workshop will be sponsored in part by the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Human Sciences and Services Outreach and Eau Claire County UW-Extension.
Moderated by ABC news correspondent Cokie Roberts, the teleconference will feature a panel of experts who will discuss the ways culture, spirituality, age and gender affect the grieving process.
The registration fee of $10 is due Friday, April 17. For more information, contact Diane Weber at the Eau Claire County UW-Extension office at (715) 839-4712.
