EAU CLAIRE -- The second of three BFA Degree Candidate Senior Shows will be on display April 4-9 in the Foster Gallery of the Fine Arts Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Seniors who will graduate in May with a bachelor of fine arts degree created these exhibits.
"The Pink Ladies" will have its opening reception from 2 to 4:30 p.m. April 4.
Kira Romashko, an art major with an emphasis on painting from Madison, will present paintings she completed as an undergraduate at UW-Eau Claire.
"I find that painting as a medium pushes me into more expressive avenues and allows for creative solutions to the issues I am trying to communicate," Romashko said.
Jennifer C. Molony, a graphics design major from Shorewood, said her works consisting of life drawings and ceramic pots express putting a piece of herself out into the world.
"In my design, I will always question where and how it will be applied and who the audience will be," she said.
"I like to utilize my own photographs in my graphic design works to convey my artistic expression," said Beryl W.V. Ouimette, a graphics design major from Chippewa Falls.
Ouimette said her works include graphic designs, photographs, sculpture and painting.
Kara Lichtenberg, a graphics design major from Appleton, will present graphic designs, drawings and ceramic pots.
"My graphic design goal is to design a piece that will influence, change and affect the general public," Lichtenberg said.
Foster Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. weekdays and 1-4:30 p.m. weekends.
