UW-Eau Claire Wind Ensemble
Concert on March 8

EAU CLAIRE -- The Wind Ensemble will present a concert at 5 p.m. Sunday, March 8, in Gantner Concert Hall of the Fine Arts Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Dr. Todd Fiegel, director of university bands and assistant professor of music at UW-Eau Claire, will conduct the program. The ensemble will perform "Overture for Winds op. 24" by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy and "Soundings" by Cindy McTee.
After a short intermission, the ensemble will present "Octet" by Igor Stravinsky. Following will be Perry Grainger's "Scotch Strathspey and Reel," which will be guest-conducted by graduate student Steve Catron.
Closing the program will be "Jupiter" from Gustav Holst's "The Planets."
Tickets for the concert are $4.75 for the general public; $3.75 for senior citizens, children under 18 and faculty and staff; or $1.25 with a UW-Eau Claire ID. Tickets are available at the Service Center, (715) 836-3727.
