EAU CLAIRE -- The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Monday, March 2. All events are free and open to the public.
FRIDAY, MARCH 6
* M. Dee Stewart will present a trombone guest recital at 7:30 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Fine Arts Center. Stewart will perform various arrangements by Hidas on bass trombone, Tschaikowsky on tenor trombone, Appert on alto trombone and White on euphonium.
SATURDAY, MARCH 7
* A Wind Clinic will be held all day at Memorial High School. A Wind Clinic Concert will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Memorial High School.
SUNDAY, MARCH 8:
* George Wolfe, an associate professor of music at Ball State University (Ind.), will present a saxophone guest recital at 7:30 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Fine Arts Center. He will perform various pieces by Michael Cunningham, Christopher Scinto, G.P. Telemann, W.A. Mozart, J.S. Bach, Ryo Noda, M. William Karlins and Jody Nagel on alto and soprano saxophone. Wolfe will be assisted by Lori Cruciani and Michael Cunningham on piano, Robert Knight on baritone, Matthew Pierce on cello and Richard Fletcher on alto saxophone.
