EAU CLAIRE -- An exhibit titled "Sculptural Fibers: The Next Generation" will be featured in the Foster Gallery of the Fine Arts Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
The exhibit will open Jan. 29 and continue through Feb. 19.
Eight artists will be featured in the exhibit. The artists created sculptures to portray the psyche of the human mind and the needs that have been created in the society in which we live. Featured artists include Dorothy Gill Barnes, Jerry Bleem, Carol Eckert, Jane Sauer, Jan Janeiro, Kiyomi Iwata, Linda Kelly and John Garrett.
An opening reception will be held from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Jan. 29 in the gallery. A public lecture and demonstration by John Garrett is slated for 9 to 11 a.m. Feb. 13 in the gallery.
