UW-Eau Claire Students Receive
Study Abroad Scholarships

EAU CLAIRE -- Twelve University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students have been awarded scholarships to study abroad during the spring semester of 1998.
Scholarship recipients were selected by the UW-Eau Claire Foundation Study Abroad Grant Committee. The Foundation gives the awards in support of the students' participation in study abroad programs.
Michael Bader, a senior management major from Kennan, and Tina Bader, a junior psychology major from Sarona, each received $250 scholarships to study at Vaxjo in Sweden. Ami Bunio, a senior journalism major from Rogers, Minn., received a $350 award to study at Monterrey in Mexico. Sophomore Xiong Pao Chang, a mathematics major from Brooklyn Center, Minn., received $250 to study at Jinan in China.
Sophomore psychology major Jessica Johnson, Mondovi, received $350 to study at Harlaxton in England. Leslie Kalmon, a senior elementary education major from Medford, received $500 to study at Valladolid in Spain.
Stefanie Pelke, a sophomore marketing major from Rochester, Minn., was awarded a $250 scholarship to study at Rosenheim in Germany. Junior Erin Riechers, an English major from Cuba City, and Fred Sederholm, a sophomore business finance major from Highbridge, each received $500 to study at Harlaxton in England.
Junior French major Aura Streiff, Stoughton, was awarded $550 to study at Toulon in France. Sophomore geology major Paul Dupre, Stillwater, Minn., received $250 to study at Edinburgh in Scotland. And Isaac Walters, a sophomore social studies major from Rio, received $350 to study at Edinburgh in Scotland.
