EAU CLAIRE -- Kristine Anding will be the associate director of admissions at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire effective Nov. 1.
Anding is currently the student enrollment and financial aid manager for the Western Wisconsin Technical College in La Crosse, and has worked in the past as associate director and acting director of admissions at Grand Valley State University in Michigan. She will replace Barb Fortin, who left UW-Eau Claire earlier this year.
As associate director of admissions, Anding's responsibilities will include providing managerial support for the Office of Admissions; assisting in the development and implementation of the annual student recruitment/retention plan; providing vision and opportunities for staff and student development and training student interns; assisting in enrollment management research and analysis; reviewing residency appeals under the requirements of Wisconsin statute; and serving as liaison with the American Ethnic Coordinating Office in the recruitment and admission of students of color.
Anding earned her bachelor's degree at UW-Platteville and her master's degree at UW-Oshkosh. She earned post-graduate credits at Michigan State University.
